My grandma, from whose tights collection I have made most of my puppets. The idea to make human figures from tights came when I saw my grandma’s huge travelling bag full of stockings she had saved during her life time, she were saving them because she couldn’t stand the waste of the delicate peace of closing specially that it could be worn only once and it rips. She hoped to stitch them one day. As a looked at these different shades of materials I realised it could become a creatures face as material is so similar to humans skin and basically we use it as a second skin to hide imperfections on our own.
